VìTÂM builds projects that are critical and disruptive, yet accessible and collaborative.
With support from young professionals, VìTÂM provides curriculum, courses, published works, and resources that are accessible and generate buzz while drawing attention to vital issues across our community and advancing collective action to overcome them. VìTÂM and its members are sought as collaborators and consultants for community organizing efforts, recognized for our rich resources and an expansive network of trainers and allies.
VìTÂM provides space for challenging dialogues and nuanced narratives in Vietnamese communities.
Resilient people across the diaspora and homeland have endured years of global upheavals and local conflicts. Though they have survived and even thrived, past traumas have exacerbated the rifts between and within Vietnamese communities. We offer resources for understanding our communities’ divisions that are grounded in historical, social, and cultural research, and we create spaces for healing and dialogue drawn from years of experience with community organizing in collaborative environments.
VìTÂM fosters coalitions and relationships grounded in principles of healthy community-building approaches.
We recognize and honor the work of individuals and organizations who have worked to strengthen Vietnamese communities across the world, while understanding that knowledge and collaboration based in healthy community-building approaches can amplify our collective impact. Our initiatives identify and address challenges within and across our communities, including issues related to organizing and inclusion, fostering empathy across our differences, and building unity around our shared goals.
